Senior Trust & Company Administrator

Job Type: Executive, Permanent

Location: Isle of Man

Job Summary 

• Responsible management of complex portfolio of trust and company structures with oversight of junior members of staff, client liaison/communication, adherence to policies and procedures, workflow, service standards, credit control, internal reporting and day to day compliance/risk management.  Business travel and special project work may be required.

• IOM anti-money laundering/CFT legislation/Conduct codes and guidance
• adopted risk policies and procedures
• FSC regulatory rules and regulations and reporting obligations

Key competency requirements    

• Five years’ experience at admin/senior admin level
• An understanding of relevant products, services, procedures and processes
• Organised, efficient and strong numeracy, oral & written communication skills
• Flexible and committed to change, progress and development
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to implement change successfully
• Self-organisation and suitable time management skills
• Good all round knowledge of appropriate legislation, regulation and best practice
• Team player

Summary of key functions of role / areas of responsibility    

• Senior Trust Administrator of Fiduciary Services + nominee companies
• Assist Senior Manager, Directors and Managing Director of Fiduciary Services with the implementation of a strategy for the growth of the fiduciary operation
• Maintaining and overseeing relationships with existing clients
• Monitor the performance of the fiduciary team ensuring that they meet both client’s needs and internal/external best practice standards
• Maintaining awareness of fiduciary and financial trends and peer group activity
• Provide analysis of fiduciary business issues, anticipated changes and problems arising for the Director, thereby contributing constructively to informed decision making
• Assist with timely and accurate reporting of Management Information (“MI”) covering all relevant fiduciary business issues
• Ensure the systems and infrastructure support the fiduciary operation’s needs, highlighting deficiencies, staff training needs and competency shortfalls
• Day to day compliance and risk management within the fiduciary operation including oversight of procedures and controls to mitigate risks and deliver divisional and group objectives
• Close liaison with Director + deputising for Director
• Represent the interests of the fiduciary business in the local community and/or with local representative organisations, e.g. STEP, ACSP, dinners, local events, etc
• Act as relationship manager in respect of clients utilising fiduciary services and advise, co-ordinate, delegate or refer client needs as required
• To promote the services of the group, including but not limited to banking, investment and financial planning
