Job Purpose
Working towards continued growth, to effectively and efficiently manage a portfolio of high net worth Private Clients to support the brand providing support and assistance for the Private Clients team. To ensure that all activities comply with regulatory and market standards and to understand and adopt relevant Company Policy and Procedures to ensure suitable records are held and maintained to our audit standards.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Creating Good Customer Outcomes:
To provide quotations and issue new policies, adjustments and renewals predominantly on high net worth contracts but also using standard personal insurance products where appropriate.
To assist clients with their claims according to policy type and procedure.
To assist with other personal insurance enquiries from a range of private clients.
To maintain good relationships with insurers and other suppliers to ensure our range of products are market leading and profitable.
To seek to exploit new business opportunities through existing and new accounts.
To help with organising and attending campaigns and events where appropriate, bearing in mind that most of these events will be outside of normal working hours.
To assist with incoming calls from clients and external suppliers in a professional manner.
To take responsibility for a book of clients, as required.
Assist the team by contributing to the on-going development and improvement of internal systems and processes to support effective and efficient management of new and existing private client insurance policies.
To develop working relationship with clients to promote customer satisfaction.
To be consistent with delivery of excellent customer service.

To drive results in terms of retention and growth.
To ensure timely collection of insurance premiums.
To provide administration support to the Manager of Private Clients by performing daily and operational administrative functions within the business.
To ensure that workloads are dealt with in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with company procedures and service standards
To assist with any other duties required to contribute to the workflow of the department and office
Adherence to policy and procedures – internal and external:
To escalate any issues you are unsure of to the Private Client Manager or Head of Private Clients where required to ensure they are kept updated of any potential problems or claims.
To ensure complaints are handled in a sensitive and helpful manner and referred in accordance with company procedures and within the set time frame set by the relevant regulatory body (JFSC / GFSC / IOM FSA).
To comply with AJG Professional Standards Manual in accordance with statutory requirements for role with specific attention, but not limited to Managing Client information, Whistle Blowing, Treating Customers Fairly.
To maintain knowledge and carry out duties following internal policies and procedures as well as taking all reasonable steps to ensure the part of the business for which you are accountable for demonstrably complies with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance and Gallagher’s shared values, in particular, putting clients at the heart of our business. If shortcomings are identified take responsibility for remedial action planning, and action in conjunction with the relevant experts within the firm.
To ensure timely completion of own interim and annual appraisal within specified timeframe within the e-PDC system and that Goals and Objectives are set for the forthcoming financial year within the specified timeframes.
To undertake annual Continuous Professional Development (CPD) including completion of all AJG mandatory on-line training and Broker Assess training modules to maintain and increase knowledge and competence and ensure set number of hours is met and logged accurately on the database.
To ensure skills and professional qualifications are maintained and up to date and relevant for level of responsibilities to promote the organisation’s professional outlook.
To establish and maintain productive relationships with colleagues to ensure that staff morale and conduct are properly exercised.

Education / Qualifications
Previous insurance experience (2 – 3 years desirable)
Ideally Cert CII and studying towards Diploma
Knowledge of Acturis would be advantageous
Proficient in Microsoft packages including word, outlook and excel
Understanding and knowledge of (JFSC / GFSC / IOM FSA) rules and guidelines relating to commercial and private customers
Understanding and knowledge of general insurance and underlying legal principles
Additional Information
Flexible approach to working hours as role may also necessitate in working outside normal times due to marketing and networking events, both internally and externally.
The content of the job description should be reviewed at least on an annual basis, however, no changes can be made without first referring the change to the Human Resources Department who will seek further advice and guidance if necessary by the Unit Head
