MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE


The Company Accountant & Office Administrator is responsible for:
1. All areas relating to the in- house financial accounting and reporting function
2. All areas relating to office administration

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Daily Accounting & Controllership;
 Management of time recording system with integrated sales ledger including issuing sales invoices and credit notes and debtors reporting, and disbursement recovery
 Management of purchase ledger including preparation and settlement of creditor payments
 Management of petty cash
 Management of company T&L expense process
 Management of the company credit cards
 Administrator of on-line banking system (RBSI, Barclays, Investec, Standard etc.)
 Monitoring and reconciliation of pooled client accounts
 Daily posting of all financial transactions in subledgers and general ledger
 Monthly account reconciliations
 Maintenance of financial security and following of internal controls
Financial Reporting & Audit;
 Preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts including trial balance, profit & loss account, balance sheet and Cash flow statements
 Preparation of statutory annual accounts and reporting to the board and FSA and auditors
 Budgeting and forecasting
 Liaison with Auditors re: annual and interim audit
 Preparation of ad hoc financial reports
Office Administration;
 Responsible for the company’s IT setup and including liaising with IT solution supplier and printer supplier
 Opening daily post & answering office phone
 Management of all office supplies, layout and common areas
 Office health and safety coordinator
 Support directors with travel bookings etc.

Other;


 Key Staff and authorised signatory on bank account
 Support business operations as necessary

SCOPE OR SCALE
 Full time and permanent
 Office Hours 9.00am – 5.00pm
 35 hours per week

SALARY AND BENEFITS
 Annual salary – up to £45,000 per annum
 25 days standard holiday
 Christmas/New Year office shutdown
 Private Medical Insurance
 Death in Service (3 x gross salary)
 Car Parking in Douglas
 5% Employer Pension contribution

QUALIFICATIONS


 Part qualified/ Fully qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA
 5 years + accounting experience in a similar size organisation
 Strong IT skills and interest in using IT for process efficiency.
 Previous use of VT would be an advantage
 Proficiency in the use of Viewpoint would be an advantage
 Able to work to deadlines and manage own workload
 Professional and friendly manner
 Attention to detail and good organisational skills
