Job Description
Purpose of the Job Following an internal restructuring of the Finance and Client Accounting Team, a new role has been created to assist and support the senior management team. This exciting opportunity brings together a combination of a traditional finance role with oversight of the client accounting function to provide a varied and challenging role.
Main Responsibilities Finance • Managing a small team including performance focus plans • Oversight of the monthly management accounts process produced from Microsoft Nav One • Month-end analysis of financial data for director review • Creation and maintenance of MI reports to monitor, track and report agreed KPIs • Oversight of cash management • Annual group budgetary process and management of variances • Oversight and involvement with outsourced payroll function across three jurisdictions • Liaison with external auditors • Oversight of regulatory reporting for licenced entity • Working with the marketing team to understand how sales pipeline data gathered and held within Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM system will be converted into revenue • Assist with review of new headcount requests to ensure they are in line with budget and forecasts • Input into pricing of fee proposals for clients for various service lines • Enhancing processes and systems seeking efficiencies • Ad hoc duties as required Client Accounting • Oversight of the client accounting function using system generated work trackers to ensure work is completed in a timely manner and all deadlines are met • Assist with review work on complex structures • Technical accounting support for client queries • Oversight of the client tax and VAT reporting across 3 jurisdictions
Qualifications • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or international equivalent) with 5 years post-qualification experience Knowledge, Skills and Experience • Experience in a management role • Experience of financial reporting in a multi-jurisdictional organisation • Experience of dealing in multi-currency environments • Experience of preparing and consolidating budgets • Experience of time-based billing beneficial • Microsoft Nav One experience beneficial • Good IT skills, in particular advanced Excel skills Competencies • Team player • Ability to work independently, under own initiative and proactively • Ability to prioritise work when under pressure and to meet deadlines • Confident communicator to all levels and abilities • Ability to collate, analyse and present financial data to senior non-financial leadership Remuneration and benefits • Competitive salary • Discretionary bonus scheme • Salary sacrifice pension scheme* • Private medical insurance (self)* • Death in service insurance (3 x gross salary)* • Car parking space • 25 days annual leave • Holiday purchase scheme • All UK and Manx Bank Holidays *Eligibility after qualifying period Additional Information
