Summary/Job Purpose
To review and assess all relevant client CDD documentation submitted as part of new business applications and trigger
events to ensure that the firm’s CDD/EDD obligations are met at all times in full in accordance with all the relevant laws
and regulations relating to client due diligence and financial crime.
Role Responsibilities
Review CDD and EDD documentation for new accounts ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
Review CDD and EDD documentation for trigger events ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
Undertake electronic verification searches on individuals and entities to identify possible PEPS, and any other
risk indicators as required.
Assist with reviewing of all 3rd party and related party payments including making requests for CDD
documentation and rejecting or approving as necessary.
Assist with reviewing of all 3rd party and related party private transfers including making requests for CDD
documentation and rejecting or approving as necessary.
Assist in maintaining good order of the CDD Team’s email box and Avaloq order books.
Assist with remediation projects as required.
Ensure standard procedures are followed and checklists are fully completed at all times with appropriate notes
made where discussions have taken place, or we have deviated from standards.
Keep fully up to date with process changes including developments in Avaloq functionality.
As required, take ownership of allocated procedures and ensure these are updated as and when processes
change including changes in Avaloq.
Any other relevant duties as required by the company.
Competencies
Technical /Qualifications
2 years’ experience of working within CDD or similar or general experience in a
financial environment is preferable.
A good understanding of CDD/Compliance.
Systems/Internal Processes Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to quickly learn and gain a good working knowledge of Avaloq
Regulatory
Awareness/Compliance
Good working knowledge of the GFSC, JFSC and IOM FSA regulatory
handbooks.
Keep abreast of any CDD regulatory changes and apply any changes to work.
The ability to understand and apply regulations across various jurisdictions.
Core Competencies/Skills Ability to work independently and take appropriate initiative when required.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to
communicate appropriately with internal and external customers.
Ability to assess risks and make a risk-based decision on a commercial basis
