Bookkeeper

A busy independent corporate service provider, we are seeking a Bookkeeper to join our
Client Accounting team to maintain the accounting records of a portfolio of client companies.

The Role…
Reporting to the Directors, the successful candidate will be the dedicated accounting manager
to a client portfolio with a major focus on UK property investment and will:
 Input all entries from bank statements and other financial records into the accounting
package (VT) and reconcile accounts
 Request and collate financial information from clients and third parties
 Prepare client company VAT returns (including partial exemption calculations) and
file online
 Process client company payments in accordance with internal procedures
 Assist our in-house accountants with year-end bookkeeping, as required
 Assist with ad-hoc projects, whilst managing deadlines
Required skills…
We are looking for a friendly professional with:
 An in-depth understanding of double entry bookkeeping. Ideally CAT or AAT
qualified or close to achieving that qualification
 Good technical skills with the ability to research and analyse financial information
 Preferably some previous experience in the financial services sector in a similar
accounting/bookkeeping role, or in a commercial real estate accounting role
 Excellent customer service and communication skills as the role is client facing
 Some knowledge of AML regulations would be useful
