Consultant – Personal Pensions
The main responsibilities of the position are as follows:
• The day-to-day management and administration of a portfolio of bespoke SIPP,SSAS and IPP clients, including QROPS arrangements;
• The implementation of new pension scheme applications involving the completion of documentation to establish the scheme structure, bank account and underlying investment products;
• Undertaking customer due diligence requirements at take on and on an on-going basis, including ID&V, customer risk assessment, periodic and trigger event reviews, and corresponding with the compliance team on a regular basis
• Coordination between pension scheme members, advisers, banking and investment institutions, and other pension scheme providers;
• Liaising with the actuarial team to organise pension drawdown schedules and regular reviews, and facilitating benefit payments when they fall due (including the deduction of tax)
• Organisation of diary and daily tasks to ensure client expectations are met;
• Preparation for and attendance at regular trustee meetings, including minute taking and direct face-to-face interaction with clients;
• Liaising with co-trustees and accounts team to ensure annual scheme returns are delivered timely and accurately and all regulatory deadlines are met;
• Correspondence and reporting to regulatory bodies, including the IOMFSA, ITD and HMRC, where applicable;
• Dealing with the administration of a range of investment assets depending on the client’s preferences, to include standard investment platforms, property, loans etc;
• Willingness to learn and enhance technical knowledge of pensions regulation and administration and investment;
• Ad hoc tasks and provision of cover and support across the pension administration teams, as required.
