About the Role
This is a key role based at Group-level with the opportunity to facilitate the Group’s transition through key changes in the regulatory landscape of Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI), while adding significant value for our offices and clients.
We require a Group FATCA/CRS Manager who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the offices continue to satisfy regulatory obligations under Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI), specifically that of the U.S. Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and the OECD’s Common Reporting Standard (CRS).
The role holder will be required to support the Group through a rapid transition in international legislation, with the introduction of the Amendments to the CRS and the Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF), while supporting impacted offices in satisfying their reporting obligations.
The role holder will be required to form partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders, while supporting the Group and its wider offices in driving strategic and policy change in preparation for changes in legislation and external regulatory audits.
Main Duties
•
Lead the Group in implementing strategic and policy change to ensure on-going compliance with the AEOI Regulations.
•
Horizon scanning and impact assessments concerning the Amendments to the CRS and the CARF, acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all of our jurisdictions.
•
Manage and coordinate Group projects from an AEOI perspective – takeovers, remediation of historic reporting, and new business, liaising directly with regulators where necessary.

Provide advice to our offices in completion of AEOI documentation – self-certifications and FATCA-specific documentation (W-8BEN-E, W-8BEN, W-9 and W-8IMY).
•
Maintenance of Group FATCA GIINs – filing of Periodic Certifications, Certification of Pre-existing Accounts (CoPA) and RO certifications.
•
Provide advice to various company teams across trust, company, and pension products in answering client queries and external banking and investment partner classification rationale queries.
•
Engage with our offices to assess reporting scope, impact, and revenue opportunities and lead the production of statistical data to inform the Group Board – reportable entities, entity classifications, and revenues.
•
Procure and deliver a training programme to all offices, accounting for jurisdictional nuance where applicable.
•
Work with the Reporting Officers across impacted jurisdictions to resolve complex issues – xml. schema issues, regulatory enquiries/visits and Compliance Returns.
•
Trust, company, and pensions FATCA/CRS classifications and subsequent reporting, where applicable.
•
Keeping abreast of local-level AEOI updates across our jurisdictions.
•
Liaising with internal and external IT stakeholders with a view to improve AEOI processes.
•
Participate in AEOI working groups, ensuring relevant information is disseminated to teams concerned
Ideal candidate
•
Experience of classifying client entities and filing FATCA/CRS returns within a multi-jurisdictional and fiduciary context, Model 2 FATCA reporting an advantage.
•
Ability to complete required FATCA/CRS documentation (self-certifications, Controlling Person forms, and W-8/W-9 series forms).
•
Able to work with, understand, and process large volumes of data – CSV, Excel, and xml. in particular.
•
Prior experience remediating historic FATCA/CRS reporting and engaging with regulators.
•
Strong working knowledge of FATCA/CRS and its application within a fiduciary setting, while accounting for jurisdictional nuance in interpretation and application.
•
Experience of producing and delivering AEOI training programmes.
•
An understanding of data protection laws and their application to data exchanged under AEOI.
•
Ability to digest complex information and disseminate this in a concise and understandable manner.
•
High-levels of integrity, ethical conduct and confidentiality.
•
Drives change and is able to influence internal stakeholders to promote change at local-level.
•
Time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks accordingly with tight deadlines.
