Tax Compliance Senior

Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Tax Compliance Senior to support the efficient delivery of tax compliance services across our client base. This pivotal role bridges the gap between trainees and managers and will suit someone with experience preparing Isle of Man tax returns and Associated advice. You will work as an integral member of the Tax Compliance team, taking responsibility for a portfolio of personal and company tax returns, assisting with technical calculations, reviewing work prepared by junior staff where necessary, and contributing to the development of less experienced team members. This position reports to the Tax Compliance Manager and will involve occasional collaboration with the wider team. .

Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance Prepare Isle of Man personal, company and trust tax returns to a high standard and in line with regulatory deadlines.
• Preparation and review of Manx income tax returns and company returns
• Review draft tax returns prepared by trainees, providing constructive feedback and quality assurance where appropriate
• Monitor statutory deadlines and support timely client correspondence.
• Liaise directly with clients and third parties as required regarding tax compliance queries and data gathering.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant IOM tax legislation, and share insights and updates with colleagues

Team Support & Development

• Support trainees and junior staff.
• Assist in onboarding and training new team members on tax return processes and internal systems.
• Help identify areas for internal process improvement or automation and contribute to implementation where feasible. Private Client & Ancillary Support
• Provide assistance on an ad hoc basis to private clients
